ELEMENTARY: ON YOUR OWN: STAGE THREE

STAGE 3: THINKING

STAGE 3: THINKING

Features of this stage of research include students' use of graphic organizers and outlines as they gather information.  These tools help to give students a structure for their facts/information and then guide them into the writing process as they consider the purpose and audience for their writing.  Lastly, students will be able to use the resources in this stage to edit and evaluate their work as they move forward into the final stage of the research process.
