Suggested Activities:

PRIMARY: Teaching students about balancing their "spare time" - give each student a visual of a teeter-totter and cut outs of fun things to do both online and offline and have them "balance" their selections of what they would choose to do. 

MIDDLE: Students could track their internet usage for a day, a week and then graph their results in groups or as a whole class.  EXTENSION - identify the types of internet usage - videos, research ...

SECONDARY: Students could investigate the most current statistics on the negative impacts of the internet (physical and pschological) for teenagers around the world and then as a class create a "FACT MASHUP".

Suggested Activities:

PRIMARY: After viewing Faux Paw's Dangerous Download, have students respond in words, pictures or in writing what went wrong for Faux Paw.

MIDDLE/SECONDARY: Students could complete a series of teacher provided CITATION STATIONS in a bell test format using the required format - APA, MLA ... 

MIDDLE/SECONDARY: Students could use the latest edition of COPYRIGHT MATTERS (CLICK HERE) to identify how copyright affects the use of online resources in education.

Suggested Activities: 

PRIMARY: 

MIDDLE: From a teacher provided set of websites, students could investigate what is available to be purchased online and identify WHO should make the purchase(s).

SECONDARY: Students could investigate the impact Digital Commerce has made on the markets and then debate the pros/cons of Digital Commerce with their peers.
